Pastor West: [00:00:02] Good morning and welcome to everyone here this morning. And those of you joining us. Uh, have a which way you do that? We're glad you to be part of our service. We've been talking about the spirit of wisdom and revelation, uh, of him and what all that could mean to us. And, well, we couldn't even quite understand all that, what that means to us, because it's so rich, it's so powerful. And so we're going to we're going to break into the word again, if you will go with me to the book of Ephesians, chapter one, Ephesians the first chapter. And you'll find there. I'm. I'm reading, I think, from the King James at the moment. And this is the this is what Paul prayed for at the church at Ephesus. Start in verse 16. Paul said, I cease not to give thanks for you, making mention to you in my prayers that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the father of glory, may give unto you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him. The eyes of your understanding being enlightened, that you may know what that you may want. Know what is the hope of his calling. And what is the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints? And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us? Ward, who believe according to the working of his mighty power which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power, and might and dominion, and every name that is named not only in this world, but that which is to come. Next verse. And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head of all things to the church.
Pastor West: [00:01:53] Amen. All things to the church. So the Bible says in verse 23, so which is his body, the fullness of him? People say, well, we just if we could just get God to move and do something, he'd think he did. He thinks he already did. He thinks he put all of him in you. Amen. Amen. You go buy a new vehicle. And they said, man, if this, this, this vehicle would do something. Well, GM, Ford, whoever does Toyota thinks they already did it. They should have you did you crank the car? What's that? Well you have a key or a little button. Yeah, we'll do that. What's that sound out here? It's called an engine. They thinks they've already supplied it with power. They gave you the ability to steer it, to stop it, to make it go. Thank God we live in the days where cars are air conditioned. Have you ever had one that wasn't? Yeah. How many? How many? You're always roll down your windows. See, we were healthier people because we was always. We was always moving. But thank God for air conditioning. And, uh, you know, I think whoever took the CDs and cassettes out a car ought to be shot. But other than that, um, I don't know how they call that progress. But anyway, that's just me. They might call me an old geezer, but, you see, we get it on your phone. No, some things ain't on there. Some things aren't on there to put on your phone. And then you have to have to learn how he wants to go do all that. Praise God. But here Paul said, he said that he prayed that their eyes would be open to something that God had already done.
Congregation: [00:03:30] Mm. Amen.
Pastor West: [00:03:32] You know, most time church is praying God to go do something. Oh, God help us. Oh, God. If you just show up, maybe the pastor be anointed this morning. Maybe he had some extra time for prayer. Maybe God showed him and could help me. Well, he he helped me and he helped you.
Congregation: [00:03:45] Amen.
Pastor West: [00:03:46] So Paul's praying that you're you're you would have an enlightenment to some event that had already taken place, not something that would take place. So how do we access that? Well, we access that by faith. Uh, pastor Randy green was telling me he he was sending me something this morning. We talked about it. He came Friday. Him and Miss Mary did. We spent the day with him Friday, and he was sending me a text this morning and he said, uh, he said if faith is the currency of God. He said, Grace is Fort Knox. You know, Fort Knox. They got a few billion dollars worth of gold there. So Faith accesses Fort Knox, as it were, all the mysteries of heaven. And it's no longer a mystery because Christ came to reveal the mystery. And the mystery was him. And the mystery is now you praise God. So all they have to do. You know, the Bible says that Paul said that you are a letter of God for the whole world to read. They're not supposed to be just reading the Bible. They're supposed to be reading you because you're the letter. Y'all okay with that this morning? Yeah. Okay. Well, go to Colossians if you will. Just a little bit further. A couple pages or so. Go to Colossians chapter two. And we're going to read verses two and three. Uh, actually, I want to read this from the, uh, the Passion Translation. I want it to be more passionate. Colossians chapter two, verses two and three from the the Passion Translation.
Congregation: [00:05:26] Y'all ready?
Pastor West: [00:05:28] He said, I'm contending for you, that your hearts will be wrapped in the comfort of heaven. Woven together like love's fabric. This will give you access to all the riches of God as you experience the revelation of God's great mystery. Christ for our spiritual wealth is in him. It's like hidden treasure. It's waiting to be discovered. Heaven's wisdom and endless riches of revelation. Knowledge. Mm hmm. Now, Colossians chapter three and pastor translation. Uh, verses one through three. Paul went on to say to the church at Colosse he said, Christ's resurrection. Is your resurrection too? Can you see the identity? Colossians three, verses 1 to 3. And the passion. Christ's resurrection is your resurrection too. That is why we are to yearn for all that is above, for that is where Christ sits enthroned at the place of all power, honour and authority. Verse two. Yes, feast on all the treasures of the heavenly realm. Fill your thoughts with heavenly realities and not with the distractions of the natural realm. Your crucifixion with Christ has severed the tie to this life, and now your true life is hidden away in God, in Christ. And as Christ Himself is seen for who he really is, who you really are will also be revealed. For you are now one with him in his glory. Now he told us here in verse two, he said all the treasures of the heavenly realm. In other words, he wants you to have a revelation of what those treasures are. All he said, he says, fill your thoughts with heavenly realities and not with distractions of the natural realm. Why would he have to tell you about distractions? Because there's many of them. There's mental distractions. There's physical distractions. People can distract. All kinds of things can distract. We came here this morning and we were going to have worship and praise.
Pastor West: [00:07:58] And the computer said, no, you're not. I'm going to crash. Well, you can crash if you want to, but my spirit don't crash. And I don't need a computer to be appraiser. I'm not a worshiper. If iTunes pulls up. Itunes can take a rest. Go on vacation now. We'll get all that fixed sometime one day. Praise the Lord. I mean, we might need to buy something new around here, I don't know. Somewhat seem like we do. We're in a season of replacing everything. I mean, why wouldn't it want to go out? It's like, well, y'all did everything, but B, you know, it's like, what about me? Of course, of course. We'll get to you. We got we got money laying around everywhere. It's not a problem. Amen. Amen. See there you got. You got a projector going again? Amen. So we don't care about any of that stuff. I don't need words on a screen to be appraiser. I woke up worshiping the Lord. That's right. When I put my head on my pillow last night, I was worshiping the Lord and praising the Lord and saying a few things and fell off to sleep. Apparently I woke up this morning. I was still in Jemison. If I'd have been in heaven, I probably would have been happier. Don't you think I would have? Keith would have had a done service this morning. Praise the Lord. It would have been good. They said, what would happen to Pastor West? He beat you to the draw. You wouldn't feel depressed for me, would you? No. Some of the people around me might need me a little help, I don't know. Amen. I mean, when when we have my funeral, I want people crying a whole lot. No, I was kidding.
Pastor West: [00:09:33] One guy said, I want it to be a real tragedy, he said. He said I didn't leave my wife. Nothing. I want it to be a real tragedy. I didn't leave nothing for her. Her next husband, I said, that's not wow. He said, that's a real tragedy. Amen. Well, I want to make a few statements to you this morning. Did you know that the Holy Spirit can make you unpredictable? You know, a lot of times people are very predictable in habits and the way that they think. But when you have the Holy Ghost on the inside of you have the one who knows all things.
Congregation: [00:10:05] Amen. Amen.
Pastor West: [00:10:06] Mark Hankins said he's a genius. He said, well, if you listen to him, he can. He can make you a genius. He said, what's the problem? Most people aren't listening to him. So they come off being very natural. But he can make you very unpredictable in life. You could even shock yourself. You ever said something or done something that shocked you? I preach something. Last week when I was ministering last week, I thought there's a few times over the last week I thought, I ain't, I ain't really that good. I don't even know if I know that. Matter of fact, I got to go back and study to make sure that was true. That's what you call revelation on the spot. It's like then you're preaching it like, you know, of course we know this. Let me tell you what I know. I had to go home and think, I need to check to see if that's true. Turned out it was and I was I was so thankful. I was so thankful, you know, because now your voice goes different places around the world. And so I thought, I better check with that. But in first Corinthians 121, Paul said, for after that, in the wisdom of God, the world by wisdom knew not God.
Pastor West: [00:11:16] In other words, you can't know God by natural wisdom. You can know about him. Someone can give you knowledge about him, they said, but the world knew not God by the um, but by wisdom. They do not God. But it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. God chose this method of preaching the gospel, which is foolish to the world. To reveal himself. Isn't that amazing? Through the preaching of the gospel for you, open up the book and read in the Word of God what the world would call foolish. God calls it divine wisdom. Wow. So Jesus is the wisdom of God personified. Jesus is the anointing. Is what? Well, it's burden removing, yoke destroying power. The anointing is you got something on you. The anointing said, I can get it off now. I'd only get it off. Run off, he said. He said, I will destroy it. You know I like it when it destroys it. Because if you destroy something that's bad, it doesn't come back.
Congregation: [00:12:18] Amen.
Pastor West: [00:12:20] You know, it's just like you spray your house or whatever for for bugs. I came up here last night and done something with air, and I was walking through the building, and they had just sprayed. And when the big old flying roaches was in here and he was running, but I was faster and I got these lemons on him. Whatever. And he went to go see who he, who they go see. I don't know, I mean, God had a purpose for him, but my purpose right now is to take him out. And so, in other words, something he moved out of his home because someone sprayed and he didn't know where to go. He was looking for a new home. And I said, no, not here. So anyway, I heard him cry out. I think he was telling the rest of them, run for your life. So I think I was the thankful, whether that's what the burden I said. That's a weird illustration for the anointing in it, but the anointing is a yoke destroying power.
Congregation: [00:13:14] Yes.
Pastor West: [00:13:15] It takes the burden away. You ever feel like you're dealing with burdens? Uh, you know, do I have to explain that to y'all? What a what a burden is? Sometimes it's people or stuff. Things you do with at work. Amen. I was taking a shower this morning and I heard the Holy Spirit say. He says, I'm going to help Nathan do something he can't do for himself that he's trying to do. I'm going to make a way for him that's going to be spectacular. Thank God. Amen. Amen. In other words, I thought, I think what he's saying is you're really going to like it, too. He's going to change the rules for you. I don't know what that means, but he's going to change some rules for you. He's going to give you favor. Did you know that one moment of favor is better than a thousand days of labor?
Congregation: [00:14:07] Amen.
Pastor West: [00:14:08] One. Just one day of one day of favor on your life is more than a whole thousand days of labor. God can give you one idea, one thought, shared just one thought. And that one thought can make you a millionaire. Yes. Now. I don't want to limit you. If you said, well, I'm leaving b a b, I'm sorry I limited you, but I'm just saying there is no limit to God. It's just one thought. And what you're really doing is you're just accessing his mind. Well, because Paul prayed, he says, pray that that your understanding would be enlightened, that you see and understand what you did in five minutes before you understood it. And now that you understand it and he's giving you access, you know, when someone tells you, I mean, this is something hopefully no one's ever told you, but it's in this book. He said he owns the earth. Now if someone tells you that they're wrong. Right. But he said, I own the earth and everything that's in it. I own all the silver and the cattle and the gold and all the resources of the earth. So the one who has that then gives you access to that and makes you an heir and joint heir of Jesus Christ, if he just gives you one thought. Amen. Like Pastor Matt was talking about. You know, things are illegal that way. But if you do insider trading with these people who's kind of really known what the deal is, but they're not supposed to use that information, but God. But God is inside.
Congregation: [00:15:38] Amen.
Pastor West: [00:15:39] He's way inside. So we just need to be more God inside minded.
Congregation: [00:15:45] Amen.
Pastor West: [00:15:47] Instead of just narrow minded. So when we do that, the treasures are opened and the treasures are revealed. So Jesus is the wisdom of God personified. Jesus is the wisdom of God. The wisdom of God is available. To who? All of us. Because the Holy Spirit is on the inside of you. So wisdom is not a thing. Wisdom is a person.
Congregation: [00:16:14] Amen. I mean, think about it.
Pastor West: [00:16:18] Wisdom is the.
Congregation: [00:16:19] Person.
Pastor West: [00:16:20] Scripture talks about. When God created the earth, he said I was with him. When God spoke. Wisdom is the person. Wisdom is Jesus. Wisdom is also the person of the Holy Spirit. The person who's on the inside of you. This moment is ready and willing to help you with any situation that you're faced with today. Now you're going to have to quit talking the problem all the time. Talk solutions. You can't tell me. I've been sad and depressed for six months now. Okay. You have. Now is that, you know, if you was going to, you know, go with the drive through and you wanted some something for food, would you tell them, would you just sit there and tell them how hungry you are? I mean, if you go to a restaurant, you go sit down and she's going to take your order. And I said, well, if you miss me, let me tell you. Let me tell you what my life's been like this week. And I can't tell you how hungry I am right now. Matter of fact, let me explain it to you. Well, once you don't have time to hear it. And two. Why would you do that? Because she can solve that problem if you just start telling what you want. You don't know how to stop them. Well, you don't know how hungry I've been. Okay, well, honey, we'll get you something to eat. Yeah, but you don't understand. Yeah. You don't understand how thirsty I am right now. I am parched. Young lady, she said. Well, ma'am, what do you want to drink? Well, that's. I mean, you don't understand. Well, that'd be foolish, right? People do it all the time.
Congregation: [00:17:54] Yeah.
Pastor West: [00:17:55] Jesus says, speak to the mountain. He says, don't tell me about the mountain. Talk to the mountain. Don't talk to me about the mountain. Amen. Talk the answer. Talk the solution. Tell it what it's supposed to do. Tell it to be removed and cast into the sea. Amen. Amen. Sickness has a name. Someone said it's cancer. Good. It's got a name. You got a name above every name.
Congregation: [00:18:18] Amen.
Pastor West: [00:18:19] You got a name above every name. Someone said, well, I knew. I know someone who believed that and died. No, you don't know anyone who believed that and died. I know that's hard to hear. Include me.
Congregation: [00:18:30] Amen. Um huh.
Pastor West: [00:18:35] Always know this. There's an answer to any problem that you got. There's a solution to any problem that you got. Uh, you can't put problems on a scale of this is a two problem, but this right here is a ten. Speak to the mountain. He didn't give you a number. He says, speak to the mountain. It shall obey you. You know, you remember when Jesus ran into the mad man of gathering. He said, are you going to cast me out before your time? And he said, uh huh. Oh yeah. Way before the time that you thought, I mean, see here, the devil already came up to Jesus and I'm helpless. And he thought, well, you ain't really supposed to be here right now. Jesus says, hide and seek, man. It's like I'm here. He said, he said, you going to cast me out, right? Aren't you before the time he said, oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. He said, you won't be a mad man no more. You can get you some hair fixed and get your nails clipped, you know, get you some lotion on. And he said, you get all that foam off your mouth. They said, you can get on Facebook and have some friends and get on Twitter and Instagram. You get on Twitter, Facebook and all kind of stuff. You know, you can have some friends. You won't have to be you be the happy man to the mad man. Then we can write a different chapter about you and I used to be a mad man and I'm a happy man. I think myself happy because Jesus came to my house.
Congregation: [00:19:54] Oh, man.
Pastor West: [00:19:56] We had a time up and change. I mean, you know, that's that's awful that you have to tie somebody up and change because they're mad. One of you said happy they had to tie you up. I thought you were dangerous because you just know that's I don't know. That's just too happy right there. They can't do no drugs. No. You know, they got those, uh, happy pills. They call em happy pills. I mean, I don't know, I don't know what the medical term for it, but, you know, there's something that deals with the endorphins that, you know, in your body and releasing that that makes you, you know, people, if they're taking antidepressants, sometimes they can give something to help them, make them be happy. Well, that's okay. I mean, if it's helping you, that's good. But you can get happy without the pills. You just have to continually change the way that you think.
Congregation: [00:20:44] Mhm.
Pastor West: [00:20:44] You say well now this is the chemical imbalance. But that's what we're talking about. So you want to talk about how hungry and thirsty you are. Amen.
Congregation: [00:20:51] When?
Pastor West: [00:20:52] When the restaurant is sitting right there in your lap. Some people you say, well, I tried it. It didn't happen. Well, Jesus happens to all those who believe. Did you know, she said to all those who believe. He said. If you're double minded, you might as well be the madman. Well, let's be the happy man.
Congregation: [00:21:15] Amen.
Pastor West: [00:21:15] Amen. I'm happy.
Congregation: [00:21:20] If someone asked me this morning.
Pastor West: [00:21:21] So you're going to wear that outfit? I mean, aren't you the preacher? I said, oh yeah, I wear it because I'm happy and it's 94 degrees today. I don't want to wear a suit. Are you supposed to? Who told you I'm supposed to? You know those ties. I think that's what they hung Judas with. I'm not really sure, but I think they tied one and tied around his neck. Put it in a double loose, and it choked him. Amen. Praise the Lord. Well, it gets cooler. I'll put a tie on if I want to. Hallelujah. All kind of things. You can get here to help you. So his wisdom is not natural. His wisdom is not just mental. Intellect is it? What? What is his wisdom? It's accurate, correct, infallible, unchangeable, higher and understanding than any other person or source. It's by wisdom that he created the world. He's all knowing. He's omniscient. He's all powerful. He knows all the events of this world, doesn't he? From beginning to end. He actually is overqualified to be your counselor. Yeah. You see, we can have a whole lot of Bible knowledge. But you need some wisdom flowing into it. Some people have a lot of information, but you need to move from information to revelation. Most of the church is living on information. Most of them are living on second hand information. In other words, they hear someone else tell what God did for them and then they try to. But you know what you got by revelation during worship and praise, by meditation of the word.
Pastor West: [00:23:12] The other people need to get it that way too. I know there's you know, Paul said, pray these prayers. And he continually he said, I cease not to give thanks for you, which means it sound like he did it more than once. Mm. When you go over to the book of Colossians, doing the same thing, praying almost the same prayer over and over again for people that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the father of glory, would give unto them a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him to the place to where their eyes would finally be opened. Does that mean that they couldn't see or they blind? No, not. He wasn't talking about their physical eyes, was he? That they would come to the knowledge of him? The amplifier said that their eyes would be flooded. The spirit, their eyes of the spirit would be flooded with light and illumination. And when that happens to you, you'll have a come to Jesus moment. You're thinking, what in the world am I doing? Why am I doing this? Why am I doing this? Well, there's just an answer. There's a solution to any problem that you got. You say, well, you don't know how long I've had this. See, that's that's the problem. You may have had it a long time, but it. Well, and then someone was telling me this week and I was talking with someone and they said, well, you know, some time this lady told me, she said, you know, sometimes God does that.
Pastor West: [00:24:36] You know, even with your, your physical body, whether it's sickness or whatever, she says, because it is a learning, teaching lesson. She said, you know what I mean? And I said, yeah, I know, I know what you mean. I said, but it's not truth. Then it got quiet. I used to just stuff like that pass by and depending on where I'm at, I might have to. And I said, no. And she said, well, you could, you could learn things that way. I said, you can, you can learn that way. In other words, there's two ways to learn either either you know, through tragedy or through hard test and then learn not to do it that way. But you could have got inside information on the front end, you know. Well, sometimes with anything, especially mechanical or whatever, I mean, they'll tell you to read these instructions before you operate this machinery so that you don't hurt the machinery or yourself. Right. And some people didn't read the instruction manual and they got hurt. Well, you know, if you never wired up a house before and you think, well, I think I can do that, well, you might can, but you might want to ask a few questions because electricity, it's not that it dislikes you. It doesn't have no dislike or likes. But what could help you might just kill you. Well, you need some information and when you get the information, see, then you can access.
Congregation: [00:25:59] Right.
Pastor West: [00:26:00] So we want to we want to access the treasures that's laid up for us now. Um, these are just some things that may help. I think that you should know them, but I think you do know them. So people have a lot of information, but they have no wisdom or revelation. So they have accumulated knowledge that makes no more than educated fools. We won't turn there. But Proverbs eight is about wisdom. Verse one says, wisdom cries out. Most, most want to be heard. It's something cries out. Verse 11 says, wisdom is better than rubies. Verse 12 says, she dwells with prudence and finds out knowledge of witty inventions. Wisdom does. Whose wisdom? Wisdom is a person. Wisdom is Jesus. Wisdom is Jesus by the Holy Spirit. Verse 14 says, counsel is mine and sound wisdom. Goes on to say, and I think it's verse 17 says, wisdom says, I love them that love me. In wisdom says, those who will seek me early, they shall find me. Verse 21 says, our wisdom caused those that love me to inherit substance. And I will fill their treasures. Just like the Holy Spirit talking to me this morning. Well, because I pray for you all. So why wouldn't he? I mean, you're my assignment, so. So why wouldn't he talk to me about you? I'm just taking a shower and trying to get ready for church. And the Lord's won't talk to me about Nathan.
Pastor West: [00:27:50] He didn't even tell me. He said, well, just tell him I got. This is a solved problem. I don't even know what the problem is. He may have. He, you know, sometimes he might like he might be like me or some of y'all. I mean, it might be problems with this plural. You ever had more than one thing at one time, but that's not really a problem. You know that you're praying for Paul. These two prophets. And they saw in a vision, they said, oh, don't go there. They said, if you go there, they're going to bind you. They're going to hurt you. They're going to beat you there. You know, they're going to they're going to whip you. They're going to imprison you. And Paul said, Paul said, but you don't understand. That's my assignment. So they saw it and it was right. That is what happened. But they interpreted it because this is going to happen. Don't go there. Paul said. But what you didn't factor into it is I'm called there, and I don't count my life dear to myself and I, and I glory in the sufferings when I'm suffering for him. Now some people are suffering for ignorance. They're not suffering, suffering for him. Some people go through things that they self inflict upon themselves and they call it, well, you know, I'm doing this for Jesus. No, you're doing it for for ignorance.
Congregation: [00:29:12] For.
Pastor West: [00:29:12] Not knowing there is a suffering in Christ, a suffering that you you know, Paul said, if you're glorified with me, there's also suffering in me, and there's a suffering. When you preach this gospel, will you begin to prosper and you become become to the enemy. You become a, you know, someone that is causing havoc to the kingdom of hell. You you'll get hell's attention. But y'all has. You have all of heaven's friends by your side.
Congregation: [00:29:43] Amen.
Pastor West: [00:29:45] In other words, by what you think and believe and you say you're going to attract something. There's no such thing is not attracting. I mean, you got. Even while I'm speaking here. You got devices who listen to you while you're while you're talking. You know that you got a phone that you can talk about things and you don't even have it on, and you pick up your phone and open it up, and it's got some kind of advertisement about the thing that you've been talking about. Does that ever happen to anybody in here? Happens to me every week. My phone is laying right there next to me, sitting by my side, and I'm thinking about, I need to go check on this, or maybe get this or replace this, or buy this open up, and all of a sudden an ad pops up for the very thing I'm talking about that was never there before. Amen. So if you're listening, uh, thank you for the help. And I'll get in touch with you if I need you. And no, I didn't vote for the the guy who's in the Oval Office, and I won't next time. You can go ahead and put that in the thing. Amen. Jesus is king.

Pastor West: [00:30:49] He's biding his time out. He's already asleep. Don't even know what country he's in when he wakes up. Don't even know what country is when he's awake.
Congregation: [00:31:04] Amen.
Pastor West: [00:31:05] Take that off the tape. I shouldn't have went there. I'm sorry. I remember when I used to care about all that stuff.
Congregation: [00:31:11] Uh.
Pastor West: [00:31:14] You know, you should seek God before you make a decision. Like buying a car or a home. Sometimes. Definitely seek him before you get married. Well, I don't know. She kissed us good. Or he's a good kisser, that won't mean much. That won't mean much. Get wisdom, get understanding.
Pastor West: [00:31:39] Understanding is the application for wisdom. You need to understand. I mean, you can have the wisdom, but you need the understanding. You see, to act upon it. I mean, you can have an invention, but if you don't know how to get it to the marketplace. In other words, your invention could be world changing. But if you don't know how to get it on the marketplace, which is a whole nother deal. And that's why you have to have the understanding. Wisdom said, understanding and prudence are my first cousins. They're with me at all time. So not only do I know the answer to your problem, and not only do I want to share and be a partner with you, I want to give you my understanding. I want to give you my wisdom. And I also want to give you the comprehension, the understanding to carry out the mission. You know, because there's a lot of people who thought about things and had ideas and might even got to the place to patent it, but they don't know how to market it. That's an expensive thing to do. It's one thing just to have an idea so the world could use this. But that doesn't mean you have access to the world. How do you get that thought and that idea of this product or whatever it is, or service, how do you get it to the marketplace? That's that's a little bit harder endeavor than just having the idea. Well, that's what the spirit of wisdom revelation does. Probably revelation is what revealed it to you. Now dig a little bit deeper then. Then you'll get the know how of how to work this. It's not that he may even tell you the know how. He'll probably join you up with someone who does know how. Amen.
Pastor West: [00:33:26] Now see? Find out what his plan is. See, most people are trying to get God to bless their plan, and most of those plans are pretty natural. Find out what his plan is for your life. Because that plan is already blessed, right? His blessings are already on it. Uh. How do you get the wisdom of God? That's already in your spirit, to your mind, to solve the problem. So we covered it in a nutshell. The wisdom of God and the the. The blessing that the wisdom of God is. But how do you access the wisdom that's already in you, in your spirit? Because if we don't do that, then we could. We just talk about the advantages of the wisdom of God. But how do you access it on Monday and Tuesday? Thursday and Friday? I mean, this is available to you on every day that ends with Y. Well the week. Do the math. Every day.
Pastor West: [00:34:43] I went to Lowe's one time and I said, y'all take money today? And they said, oh yeah, we take money every day. That ends in Y. And I said, boy, I come on the right day then. Uh huh. Yeah. Every day. Come only come on the days of the n y. So how do you get the wisdom of God from your spirit to your mind to solve the problem? Well, first Corinthians 14 two. Tells us that when you pray in tongues, he that speaketh in an unknown tongue doesn't speak unto man, but unto God. How be it in the spirit he speaketh divine mysteries. Paul said, also pray that you may interpret so that your mind might be what? Fruitful. In other words, praying in tongues in your prayer language. You're a divine language that God gave you. That's it's a heavenly language. It's a heavenly dialect. But Paul said, when you pray in the book of Jesus said, you build yourself up. You charge yourself up every time that you pray in tongues. Different people have studied through the years. Universities have come and taken people who are spirit filled and put, you know, whatever. They hook them up to machines and they put little nodes or whatever you call them, you know, all over them. And they did things to the brain and they watched the computers, what it would do. And, and scientists who just wanted to know, you know, is this just gibberish? Is this just something that you're doing? I mean, are you just saying a bunch of things that just amount to nothing? Or is there something really real spiritual that happens in you? Well, the computer and all the the vast technology, you know, it's not going to pick up the spirit of man.
Pastor West: [00:36:24] But what it did do is that all the ones who prayed in tongues, they said, in other words, just pray about this. And just use. If you speak English, just speak it out in English. Pray in English. And so they pray. Well, when they prayed, they, you know, they could see the activity of the mind as it was forming thoughts and as it was making, you know, I don't know if it was. I think it's the frontal part of the brain. They could see where the activity from their brain to their mouth was working. As they was praying in English, I said, okay, now stop now. Pray this in what you call praying in the spirit. And I began to pray in the spirit, than all the activity that's off in their brain went to a place of rest. I mean, what you had to do to speak and to think. In other words, it wasn't drawn from the mind, anything. It was coming out of their spirit. So it wasn't just words. It wasn't something that you was making up in your mind.
Pastor West: [00:37:31] The mind in that sense, was dormant for a while while they were praying in tongues. Because out of your spirit shall what flow? Rivers of living water. Well, Paul said, pray in the spirit. When you pray in the spirit, you're not speaking to a man, but unto God. How be it in the spirit you're speaking out? What mysteries? Well, these mysteries are things concerning your life, your family, your relationships, your money, your resources. Valuable things that we need to know. Your kids, your grandkids. Their future. Your future. They're already in you. But how do you access what's in the spirit? How do you access divine wisdom and counsel? Paul said, prayed in the spirit. He said, I thank my God. I speak in tongues more than you are. Now who did he tell that to? Well, he told the church at Corinth. Church at Corinth is the only letter that he ever wrote that I know of where he was. They had so much tongues. They had so much of the gifts that he had to bring order to it. So Paul is telling them, I speak in tongues more than you all do, and I'm here to bring order to what you all do, because it's just, you know, in other words, he didn't say it was wrong. He said there's just a wrong order to it. I mean, he said, everybody's coming here. Everybody has always comes to church and all y'all have a tongue.
Pastor West: [00:38:55] All y'all have interpretation. You know, you they come together and they lap over one another. I always said, this is Paul went to church today. He says he wouldn't have to bring order to it. He'd say, well, you know, Paul, in that day he said, how come every time we come together, everybody here has to have a tongue? Everybody has to have a interpretation. Everybody has to have a prophecy. Everybody has to have a word of wisdom. Everyone has to have a word of knowledge. He wouldn't do that in most churches today. He said, I come and come to church. No one has a. No one has a tongue. No one has a interpretation. No one has a prophecy. So the gifts was very prevalent in the church at Corinth. But Paul said to to my topic, Paul said, I am praying in tongues more than all of you together. That wasn't tongues with interpretation, with the message. That was him praying in the spirit, his own prayer language because he knew the benefit from it. They asked Brother Hagan, uh, that question they asked they asked Benny Hinn that question. I've heard their answers. They asked Oral Roberts. I heard his answer. I met with my mat and I met with Mike. Francine today, the missionary that preached with um, T.L. Osborn and a bunch of them, you know, uh, you know, when you've. Um. In crusades in 103 countries. Nations. Yeah.
Pastor West: [00:40:28] He says somewhere around 13 to 14 million people saved. These are preached with T.R. and Daisy for 35 years. Preacheth Rinehart, Bunkie, and their crusades. They preached in mind. He did interviews with all of them. What was this? What would you say is the is the greatest asset to your ministry? To have a success in ministry? He you know, he asked all of them that. He said after Robert's death, that's Richard that I asked to that I asked, you know, everyone that you know. He said he asked George. It's the longest answer he ever got was George Myers. He said took 45 minutes as a dissertation, but she ended up being the same thing about everybody else did. But it was, you know, it was relationship. It was action. It was passion. It was desire. Brother Hagan and always said. They said, what is the secret? If you had a secret to your ministry, or if there's one thing that you could, if you just had to pick, one thing that you could say is the greatest success that causes you to have the greatest success nationally and internationally, internationally. See, Brother Hagan wasn't an international figure till he was almost 60 years old. He was known, but he wasn't. He wasn't known internationally till he was 58 years of age. And I said, do you know the one thing you say, oh, I know exactly what it is.
Pastor West: [00:41:54] He said, it's praying in other tongues. He said praying in other tongues is is the success to my ministry. Well, they said he was going to say they thought he was going to say faith. He said, but but but I would even know what I know about faith to help you with faith if I didn't get it by the spirit. See the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him. So how do you access? Because you know, everyone in here would agree with me. I'm sure that everything God has by spirit, it's in your spirit. But what good does that do you if you can't access it? But we do access it. We can access it. How do we do that? By talking in the heavenly language, and then let that come forth to you by understanding. You say? Well, I'm not filled with the spirit. Well, actually you are. You've been born again. See tongues is not the evidence in one sense that you have tongues. I mean, well, let me back up. Let me say it differently. Sometimes you hear that, you know, when I pray in tongues, that's that's everything. No, that's not everything. Praying in tongues is not the deal. You know, it was like someone said, well, it's like buying new shoes and the tongue just comes with it, you know? So we're not making tongues the deal.
Pastor West: [00:43:16] But there is an evidence to being filled with the spirit and that that is speaking in other tongues. It's not a language that you learn. It's not a language that you go practice. He fills you. When he fills you see, it's who fills you, the Holy Spirit, right? Does he need practice? No. It's more about yielding than anything. Turn your mind off. I try to get filled in church and I couldn't do it because people was looking at me and I was looking at them, and I'm thinking I'm supposed to be in some weird language. I'm already I already don't speak English very well, but I'm supposed to start speaking in my brain. I thought, I'm supposed to speak in some foreign language when he lays hands on me. And that was I felt all kind of pressure. I got filled in a warehouse, laying on the couch. Actually. What happened? She won't mind me saying this. I won't give him any details because I don't remember. I was in Selma, Alabama. We went in early. I opened up the store early and I didn't open it up. I went there early to get crews out because we were doing a beauty shop, but it had to be done when it opened up by 9 or 10:00.
Pastor West: [00:44:24] So we agreed to do it. And uh, and I said, well, it's not that big a job. So you have the door open by about 630, and we'll be through and out, and you can open up the store. Well, I got the crews out. You know, I'm not going to open up a store with no. 630 in the morning. So there was a couch in the warehouse. Well, the day before I was, I was in church and I was up with I was with people and there was a guest minister, and he was getting people filled with the Holy Ghost who'd never spoke another tongues. Well, I had when I was 19 years old, but I didn't. No one ever taught on it. I didn't know what it was for. I spoke one time and never spoke again. And now I'm 30 years old. You need teaching. I made that an event. I didn't even know what it was for. And so never happen again. So 30 years old and I got my friend with me, and he's from Selma and he's a he's a good guy. But, you know, he occasionally took part in, in strong drink and he got filled with the Holy Ghost and spoke in this most beautiful language. I looked at him and I'm thinking, and I'm not even speaking. And I thought you were just drinking a Budweiser the other day.
Pastor West: [00:45:36] I can't be you. I mean, there's no way. And I'm sitting here thinking, you hardly go to church. I was raised in church. My mama, I had a drug problem. My mom would drug me to church every week. You hardly ever went. You're Catholic and you drink Budweiser. This can't be. So I'm sitting there studying him, trying to get a feel. I mean, I thought, Lord, you made a mistake. That's supposed to be mine. He wasn't a drunk. Nothing like that. I'm not saying that. I'm just saying when you don't understand about grace either. And I was like, heaven got files mixed up. I mean, he ain't supposed to have that. I'm supposed to have that. Well, people's getting filled all around me. And I was like, I was waiting for something to jump out of my mouth. And when nothing jumped, I mean, I had, like, a frog that didn't have no leap in him. I felt just down here, you know, but I, you know, I was waiting for something just to make me speak. And I was thinking, well, what kind of language is going to be? Well, there was no language. I never spoke anything. Well, I got to the warehouse next day and got the crew out, and it started raining and, uh. And I heard the Lord say to me, he says, pray for Barbara about that situation.
Pastor West: [00:46:54] And I thought, yeah, I mean, that's that's a situation. I said, I don't I don't know how to pray about that. Lord. He said, well, just pray in the spirit. I said, that's funny. I said, did you come to church yesterday, Lord? I said, did you not see me? I mean, Mike had my tongue. He said, no, he didn't, and he'd talk about that. He fixed me on that later. But he says, pray in the spirit because I didn't know how to pray. She had a situation I couldn't imagine any way in the world you're going to going to fix the situation. So you see how he does. He likes to have fun with you too. He likes to mess with me sometimes. Have fun. Lord. The Lord likes to have fun. He said we're just praying in the spirit. Knowing they ain't none of me going to do that. And I said, I can't do that. Well, see, I'm in the warehouse now. There's no one there. And it's raining and I'm laying on an old couch. We got back there and I'm like, you know, I'll open up at 8:00. So what else am I going to do for an hour and a half? He said, well, just pray for us. Yep. Boy, she got an issue.
Pastor West: [00:47:57] Thank God it's her problem, not mine. No, I didn't say that. Anyway, he said so. He said pray in the spirit. Well, I couldn't pray in spirit. So I thought, well, there's no one around me. And as your Lord, you're going to have to help me with this because there's nothing coming out of me. There's no words coming out of me, there's no language coming out of me, he said. Doesn't come out of your head, son comes out of your belly, he said. Comes out of your spirit. He said. All you need to do is yield. You know, like if someone goes to a club, they go to a bar and if they order a drink. I mean, y'all might know someone who did that one time. You know, somewhere, somewhere in the family. You might know someone who did that one time. If they get a little bit tipsy, it's because they yielded. You don't get intoxicated or high on a substance unless you yielded to it. Mhm. True, true. Well, you have to yield to the Holy Spirit. Just make yourself available. You don't have to tell him what you don't know how to do. He already knows that he's there to help you. See, there's nobody telling him all the. It's like going back to the restaurant. Oh, I'm so hungry. Lady, you don't understand how hungry I've been.
Pastor West: [00:49:15] Oh, I'm so thirsty. She's like, what are you doin? I said, oh, thank God I'm here. But let me tell you how thirsty I've been before I got here. She don't want she don't have time for that. Just want your drink. Order. The Holy Spirit already knows that there's a problem there. He's. He's the great fixer. He can fix your finances just like that. He can fix a marriage just like that. He can fix your depression just like that. I think God uses most people greater in life after 70 than he does, maybe their whole life. Hmm'hmm. But you got people wanting to go home and you're just now ready and ripe for God really to use you. Mm. So you don't have to retire. You just retire. I'm going to drive all I'm going to drive and I'm 103. I'm going to be going around the hills of the Smokey Mountain. Like, I mean, Michelle ain't going to want a ride with me, you know? Whatever. She's mad at me. As far as why she didn't come to church. No, I was kidding. She said I was kidding. No, her like she went to the beach, be back Tuesday. Didn't even didn't even take me. Just left me here all by myself. Made me some spaghetti. Said you on your own. I thought, well, I'm going to watch me some Matt Dillon. Anyway.
Pastor West: [00:50:45] So you just yield yourself. And when you yield yourself. See, there was no pressure in the warehouse. I was on the couch. There was no one around. And when I did, to my utter amazement, I sensed this welling in my. Or swelling or not swelling, but welling. Or I sensed something in my spirit, but I had to open my mouth. And be willing to speak. See, it, says he. He gives the utterance, but you do the speaking. He's not going to do any speaking. He's not the Holy Ghost speaking. It's you speaking, right? You ain't never had the Holy Ghost speak. It's. He uses your voice most times, even interpretation tongues. There's there's an element in there where people put their own thinking into it. It doesn't mean every word someone says in tongues is the complete word of the spirit. You have the personality of the Lord uses all that because you ever noticed that most people speak in tongues. They speak in King James Elizabethan. Well, you don't you don't use that life. The Lord would say to you this thy day, the daughter of thou knowest. Well, you've been. No he didn't. The Lord, the Holy Ghost, don't speak by King James. Does he mean you ever heard that in tongues? Somebody give an interpretation. Minister. Me, whoever. And they're speaking words sound just like the King James Bible. Well, I'm not quoting the verse, I'm just quoting to you or not. Quote. I'm just giving you what I'm hearing in the spirit. But but it doesn't have to sound like the NIV. It doesn't have to sound like the parish church. It could just sound like you. Are y'all with me, man?
Pastor West: [00:52:27] So this yield yourself and open yourself up. When you do that, he'll fill you. Then every day you just continue to pray and you just begin to pray in English and pray in the Holy Ghost. Amen. Then he says, pray that you might interpret so that your mind will be fruitful, so that you'll know. So you need to know. You need to know. It doesn't mean everything you're praying has to be interpreted, but there ought to be some interpretation to it so that you have understanding where to go from there. Now, in closing, really closing this morning. Wisdom is what is the principal thing? Isn't that what we need? Yes, we need the principal thing. Um.
Pastor West: [00:53:18] Praise the Lord. Let me just give you the what we might have time for. So he can walk so much in the natural that you miss spiritual realities because you've been given a spiritual language. Amen. To talk to God, who is a spirit on a level and speak divine secrets. Romans eight said, he bears witness with your spirit. The Holy Spirit does. He takes the things of God, which is Christ. Then he transmits them into your spirit. Making them a reality. Not a theology, not a creed, but he the spirit of truth. That's what it is also called the spirit of reality. He takes something that's complicated and makes it. Real to you in a reality to you that you can comprehend it, then you can go act upon it. He gives you spiritual insight into the divine secrets and strategies that will cause you to experience victory. The moment you yield to the Holy Spirit, you step over into the realm of the spirit. Then wisdom is imparted by revelation. There's your help. I said there's your help.
Congregation: [00:54:38] Amen.
Pastor West: [00:54:40] Um. So when you pray in tongues. See, he says, your mind is not edified. Your spirit is just built up. It's charged up. But your mind's not edified.
Pastor West: [00:54:54] Paul said, I will pray with the spirit, but I will also pray with the understanding. So you left the understanding. Come. And then there's the wisdom. And wisdom is the principal thing, the main thing. It's the event. It's the key that opens the door. It's the understanding of what we do from that place to this place. Um. Why there's so much here. It's just a. Well, you can't even begin to get in a conversation about this. Uh, you think about Elijah, who went to the widow. What's she doing?
Pastor West: [00:55:35] There's a famine. She's at the very end. Well, here's the here's the guy who prophesied the the the drought by the Spirit of God. And now he's he's having to live in his own prophecy. And, you know, he's he's at the Brook Cherith and he's. Or Cherith. How do you want to pronounce it? And the Bible says the brook dried up. And so he didn't. He couldn't call the crisis hotline. I mean, the same man who prophesied this is now living in his own prophecy. So the Lord tells him, go to this brook. And you know he was there for days. We don't know how many days, but he doesn't tell us, but he's there for days. And then he said, the Lord instructed the ravens to bring food to Elijah or Elijah. Elijah. I'm sorry. Elijah. Uh, which is pretty cool. He said, you just stay at the brook. There's water at that brook. And I'll have the ravens, which are carnivores, bring you meat. That's a that's a miracle right there for a raven to let go of meat who was already a carnivore. That's a miracle. I mean, you needed a vegetarian bird. In other words, he said, I'm going to have. God said he told Elijah, I'm going to have these ravens. They're going to run the Longhorns for you, and they're going to drop off a ribeye. I have to work with his brain because he don't he don't he don't he don't let go that ribeye. He said you want a loaded baked potato. Oh yeah. And the appetizers. Oh yeah. So he drops it off. That goes for a while. Then one day he wakes up and there's no more water. Oh. What are you going to do then? What are you going to do then? It's dried up. You ever had something good, but it dried up. Job, whatever dried up, it says. Then it says, and then the word of the Lord came. Oh, and then the word of the Lord came. What does that mean? Then the wisdom of God came.
Congregation: [00:57:42] Amen.
Pastor West: [00:57:43] What am I going to do in this situation? I got a problem at work. I got a problem in my business, and there's no way to fix this thing that I can find out. Yeah, but then the word of the Lord came. Don't tell anybody else about your problem. Now. Now go somewhere. Get away from everywhere and go pray in tongues. Do today. Do two. Do it three. I don't mean you have to leave your business. I'm what I'm talking about. Quiet your mind and get away. Wherever getaway is for you is get away and begin to pray it out and take you something to write with. I asked the Lord for the tongue and the interpretation. Go behind the barn if you have to. Speak it out. Don't. Don't try to make it sound like like like this King James. You don't have to say hitherto and anon and all that. He's not talking to you that way. So begin to interpret it out as you're praying in tongues. Now I have prayed about things in the spirit. This is personally, this is not church service. I have prayed things in the spirit and didn't get the interpretation two days later. Which is actually the most common user, or would be wonderful if it always just came like, you know, tongue interpretation follows it.
Pastor West: [00:59:07] Well, sometimes if I did that, I'd just be pressing something in the natural, but I could go days later. We all. We always jokingly kid, um, you know, I always get revelation. Some people get playing golf or hunting or whatever, and you ladies might get shopping for purses or shoes, I don't know, but, uh, I always got it if I was riding something with, you know, like a motorcycle. Well, motorcycle days are gone, I guess. So now it has to come on a zero turn because I don't need I don't have to access. A lot of we know whatever to do that. But. So I get out there and, you know, it's kind of like you can get on the boat. I went on the pontoon one time up around Guntersville with a couple different pastors, and we was up there for a whole day. And he said, I know y'all feel guilty because it's Friday. You think you need to be in your office, you know, churning out Sunday's message, he said, but you're going to get more of a revelation being on this lake than you ever will in your office. I looked at the other pastor. I'm thinking he just plays too much. But you know what? He was right. Now you can get over the border and think, well, I got to go study with my boat.
Pastor West: [01:00:12] No. There's balance to it. But we got I down there and we was on an airboat, which is really cool. And we had on the headphones because, I mean, you know, they're not for music. They're to block the sound out because you got a 454 Corvette engine back there blowing wind. And on Lake Guntersville you got those big old green leaves, lily pads that grow in the water. And we were going on we were riding on those things. And I looked back and I said, pastor Gene, this is we were sitting on the seat at 60 miles an hour, going over, uh, a real wide path of those big green lily pads, and there's water clear to the left and right. I said, why are we doing this? He says, any boat can just go in the water. I felt like it was almost like a pastor, you know, because it was just solid green, about 60, 70 foot wide where it was growing right there. And we were riding over that. I said, aren't you worried about, you know, these little limbs? He says no, because, you know, if it floats, it's only floating about 2 or 3in above the water. He said it won't hurt this boat. And we go, and now we go over limb.
Pastor West: [01:01:19] Boom. Well, there's no propeller in the water, you know, it's just a huge engine with a fan. And we're going 60 miles an hour. And Lake Guntersville is beautiful, you know. So he's up there all day long. And we pulled off somewhere and he said, y'all a little bit hungry. And I said, yeah. And I always told. And Pastor Gene's in heaven. I said, if you ever get stranded and be stranded with him because he robbed a convenience store or owns one somewhere to have this kind of snacks and all these drinks, and it was beautiful. And he had he had his duck thing and he had his decoys. And we was out there on the most beautiful lake, and you're seeing all the homes and just being out there somehow I started. The things of life. I don't know that lake. It all started. It was like a big filtration system beginning to filter and layers begin to come off that I didn't even know they were there. I was decompressing. In other words, I didn't even know it. Well, you have some way of doing that, you know, whether you're just riding in your car or I hope it ain't when you're watching a hallmark or whatever, because, you know, whatever. But but whatever you can do any kind of activity, do it, you know, as you're praying.
Pastor West: [01:02:31] And then I find that for me, the answer comes a little bit later on. You may get it right away. And so I have written these things down, and they have become the most valuable things to me in ministry and in life and whatever. It was not too long ago. I mean, not too long ago. Just being tired, being physically tired, doing too much. Then I begin to think very naturally about some things. And the Lord, he didn't rebuke me. He says, you and I don't agree about several things, but what? You're entertaining your thought life right now. You're you're entertaining these things because of how you feel in your emotions and how you feel physically. And you're interpreting the future from from your position right here, how you feel naturally about these situations. He said, I nor my word agrees with you. And he said it very loving and kindly. Then after I arrested, I said, I ask you to forgive me. That was just. That's completely wrong thinking. He began to talk to me not about money, but about wealth. Lots of wealth. Well. Would that be beneficial? He didn't tell me because my last name is Rockefeller. I'm not Bill gates, nor do I want to be him. You're you.
Pastor West: [01:03:59] See we're accessing the fullness of him in your spirit. But you got to take time to do that. This don't happen just because you came to church, clocked in and clocked out and, you know, you gave an offer and then we'll do again next week. That's that's a routine. I'm talking to you about life. I'm not talking to you about church. I'm talking about your higher consciousness of your spirit. Because you you don't have one. You are. You are spirit. When you're praying in tongues, you're connecting the spirit with your spirit in a heavenly language, but you won't need in heaven. But you're going to need here. Or Roberts. They asked him and said, what is what is the success to ministry? Of all the hundreds of thousands of people that you prayed for that was healed under the tent? Is there one thing that you could tell us that would be the success for Oral Roberts ministry? He said, oh, that'd be real easy. He said, just praying in other tongues.
Pastor West: [01:04:54] Well, I mean. You know, you all we ought to pay attention to something like that when someone who's reached the world is telling you this has been the most beneficial thing to me. Isn't that sound? Sound notes. To listen to some of their wisdom.
Congregation: [01:05:10] Amen.
Pastor West: [01:05:12] So we know we're getting the mind of Christ. So Paul said, what? My eye didn't see, what my ear didn't hear, yet what hasn't entered into my heart and my thinking. But Paul said, these things are spiritually discerned, not naturally. Dennis was saying something really, really good on Wednesday night. Talked about the days that we were in after church Wednesday, I thought was really good. And he talked about in the need for the last days, how, you know, discernment is going to be. Imperative. Well, you got the word of wisdom and the gifts, the word of knowledge and the discerning of spirits. The discerning of spirits is not just evil spirits. We think sometimes the spirits will always think evil. But. But there could be good. Well in the day that you're living in. We just. Just look around you. You just turn on the news. You just see evil everywhere. But it doesn't mean that everything's evil. Brother Hagan one time was warned to some people. He says, when I was trying to build everything and move in my life and my ministry from Texas to Oklahoma, uh, had no desire to start no Bible school. And he says, then the Lord, you know, just kept on me about Bible school. So he told Miss Aretha, this is funny. He told Miss Aretha, his wife.
Pastor West: [01:06:41] He said, Aretha. He said, the Lord keep dealing with me. He said he wants me to teach some people about faith how to live by faith more than me, just, you know, traveling and teaching the way I do. He says, uh, it keeps coming. I'm going to have to do this, Aretha, he said. It's not something I really want to do, he said, but the Lord wants me to do it, so we're going to have to do it. He said. We're supposed to go to Oklahoma to do it, he said. We're going to move to Oklahoma. She said, we're going to we're going to move our family from Texas to Oklahoma, he says. So what we're supposed to do? He said, I suppose you know the Lord wants me. Just gather up. I don't know, I'll let some of the people know, you know, the churches I go to, he says. And maybe they can come. And he said, probably about he said six, six weeks, probably six months would be on the outside, he said I could see maybe 50 people coming one day. He wasn't counting Matt and Julia and me and Michelle and Miss Dana. Miss Randy going. I don't think he counted us 60, Miss Dana. No. Well, there's there's thousands and thousands of graduates. The largest rhema is in Brazil.
Pastor West: [01:08:03] Not not the United States. Rhema Brazil has 15,000 students. There's there's a Rama's church starts somewhere in the world every four hours. Because one man thought he might. It might take six weeks to cover this for about 50 people. But he got started by praying in tongues. But the Lord don't show you the whole picture. He's not here, but Raman still is. The so. The way they explain it would be right, because we're talking about the globe different times. The sun never sets on a rainbow graduate somewhere. I'm not. I'm not saying, Rima. I'm just giving you an example. So they went to Oklahoma and they're believing God for Nancy, for everything. And he used Oral Roberts Overseal. I mean or tell Osborne I don't Sheridan. He used that for a while and then someone on his board told him about this land in Broken Arrow. Well, that's where Amy is now. But it was just, you know, there was nothing on the sides of the road. There was no houses. There was nothing. It was just a two lane road and just, you know, pasture on both sides. I mean, you go through now, there's businesses everywhere, you know. And so we're. Rima admission office is. There's over 100 acres there for Raymond. But where the admission office is for students to come there.
Pastor West: [01:09:40] This was a pasture in a farmer who owned the land. His story said I'd come out there and feed my cows. And we'd bale hay. And he was a godly man. He said, The Holy Ghost keeps on telling me some reason that God wants to use my lamb for something spiritual. I don't know what it is, but I'm supposed to hang on to it and never sell it, and the Lord's going to show me who to sell it to. He said, I mean, you know, it's not a dirt road. I mean, there was a two lane highway at that time, used to be dirt. Now it's just pastures. And there's not a business or a home nowhere. He just out there, you know, feeding the cows and slopping the hogs, he says. But right here, every time I get right here, I stand right here on this little knoll, he says. I get this most amazing impression or feeling that God's going to use this property right here. And he put a stake in the ground. I mean, all the property. Advanced, you know, 20 years later. Brother Hagan, someone on his board and said, I think I'm just supposed to show you this property. And Mr. Reith got out and the Holy Ghost told him, he said, this is it I want. I want you to build the Bible school right here.
Pastor West: [01:10:56] The exact place that he put. He kept on getting that impression. He put a stake in the ground is the admission office that you go into to become a student of Raymond Bible Training Center, which goes entirely around the world from that man's pastor when he was slopping his hogs and feeding his cows. Pretty significant in it. The man's not there. Brother Hagan's not there. But Raymond is. They said Ray McCauley, he just came from Africa, said, you know, he's speak English, but it's a different kind of English, you know. And they said he just sit back there and said he just never really got to know anybody. He's just a little bit slower trying to interpret the way you say things. And he said he always sit in the back of the room and just write notes and someone say, well, he come after him. This man ain't going to get nothing. He don't really talk to nobody. He's not really. I mean, he's wasting his time. Looks like he just sit in the back of the room just, you know, writing notes and, you know, just like an introvert or something. Well, he they said he didn't get involved with anything or anyone. He stayed there two years. And this introvert just went back to South Africa and built a church, 25,000 people.
Pastor West: [01:12:09] He took these notes and said, well, let's just go do this. Work. Can you start from where you are? Starting from where you are. Start from where you are. Where can you go from here? You know what I'm preaching there. We should be preaching the hundreds and thousands. Don't judge it by what you see here. Don't mean nothing. And that don't mean nothing either. God used Noah to do his best. God used Moses to do his best work starting at the age 80. He had to go through 40 years. All of it was preparation. 40 years being a baby to leaving Pharaoh at 40, right? Run for his life. 40 years in the wilderness. And at the age of 80, God saw. He's now ready. Abraham left home at 75. Joshua had to go 40 years with all these people who disobeyed God to a generation, not all at 85. He said, God, I'm ready to go. We're going to take the land. I'm as ready now. I'm as strong today as I was 45 years ago. We need the elderly saints, what we call elderly saints, to hang around, to impart the wisdom that they have won through natural life. But just because they've walked with God to. We have need. Of them. We have need of you.
Pastor West: [01:13:50] I mean. You have a wisdom in you. That the youth of today and I'm saying youth. Everybody from 50 down. Now if I if I say anything that you don't like, I mean, just forgive me. But you know, I through I thought I knew pretty much everything when I was 16. We all know how stupid that is. But then I thought my mid 20s, I mean, I'm, I'm pretty much going around the world. I didn't it kind of run me for a long time. I thought I had everything figured out in my 40s. It's hard to be effective as pastor until you get almost 40. That's not a formula or whatever. But you know, the older people know that you really haven't lived enough life and raised kids to really know what you're doing. You you're getting experience, right? And and they were always kind to me and said, well, he's saying some things and they're kind of right. But let him live on, Lord. But when you get past, you know, when you get past your 60s and then there's a grace to do all this, it's not in you, it's in him. So you have to access the grace that's already in you. And by grace you say, father, I just thank you for the grace that you have for me today. Can I take your hand? In the name of Jesus. Father, I just thank you for the grace. For living. And we just access today. Your goodness, your grace, your ability, your power. And I pray that the anointing of God removes every burden, destroys every yoke from your life in Jesus name.
Pastor West: [01:15:44] Every fear. Every anxiety. Any burden, any sickness, any pain. In the emotional pain, hurt and grief and sorrow. And father, I thank you that the grace in her, the wisdom of God, of walking with you. I thank you, Lord, that she imparts this to everyone that you put in her pathway. I thank you for a boldness, but I thank you also for an utterance. Paul said, pray that I might have utterance to speak that, Lord, that her tongue might become as a pen of a as a as a mighty writer, that her words are as an oracle of God. We thank you, Lord, for the grace of long life, but of strength and of peace and of joy. Now, Lord, restore everything that's been stolen and taken away. And today, new hope. Uh, new hope. There it is. New hope? Yes. New hope, uh, fills you from the top of your head to the soles of your feet. And a supernatural joy. The joy of the Lord. The joy of the Lord. Not not not the joy that we try to conceive in our mind. But the joy of the Lord bubbles up from your spirit and out of your spirit. Great joy, great peace, great comfort in the mighty name of Jesus, and a power coming alive in you. And you're like a new card that comes in the mail credit card. But now we got a we got a what do you call that to engage it. What do they call that? Activate. So now we activate. We activate. Come alive. Awaken! In the name of Jesus.

Pastor West: [01:17:38] Thank you. Now you're going to take some ground back in just the next few days. Some things that you said I'm not ever going to do again. You can say, Lord, forgive me. That's just how I felt. Yeah. Yes. You're going to be living in the can do. It's not that I can't. And you shall be a witness for his glory. Thank you. And you shall give hope and joy to a generation. You're not, you're not. You're not waiting out the days. You are fulfilling the days. These are the days of great promise. Thank you. You are valuable to the Kingdom of God. You are valuable as a daughter of God. You are loved of the Most High God.

Pastor West: [01:18:28] In your words. Your words shall be the expression of him as you speak into the lives of others.
